New life and rhythm

So glad I didn’t pull this up when it first sprouted. Not a weed—new life. This periwinkle is a volunteer, perhaps from a seed carried by a bird or the wind. Periwinkles, like all spreading plants, symbolize moving out of familiar territory and into new rhythms and grooves. This one bloomed on Monday, just before the new moon.
